![]() Plus everything in the room is controlled using an iPad which I think it pretty flipping cool. Think “IKEA meets stylish, retro Japanese pod hotel”. The rooms were concise (not cramped) and had a sleek, modern, and minimalistic style of furniture (desk with chair, bench, vanity w/sink, bed-frame with built in storage space). The style of the rooms could very much be described as a European “take” on the well-known Japanese “Pod” style hotels. From the lobby, adorned with all manners of interesting books, odd trinkets, and colorful sculptures, to the cute, cozy outdoor sitting space filled with pretty greenery, I could not stop raving about this hotel the entire trip. The decor and appearance screams chic, quirky, and metropolitan. Aesthetically, the hotel is super artsy, fun, and pleasing to the eye. Stood here for the weekend with my partner. most of it didnt match, and looked pretty used. the furniture overall, seemed repurposed from another motel. above that there was a microwave that proved useful, on top of which was a single cup coffee maker that worked nicely for tea. under the right side of which was a 3-legged refrigerator with platic top that kept coming off. left of the dresser/tv was a desk & chair. immediately above the dresser was a huge flatscreen tv that, while impressive, was far to big for the space. to the left of that was a reasobly large dresser with enough drawer space to handle what we had brought. there was a decent armoire for hanging clothes, with storage cubbies on the side. i was dissapointed to see the back of the dressing vanity was raw plywood. a fair bit of the caulking was pulled loose from both the tub and the wall. there were multiple ”dings” in the place.beginning with the corners, the walls, and at least 2 pretty serious marks on the tub that had broken the enamel off. beds were firm, and there were mostly feather pillows. the room itself was reasonably clean, & there were no bugs that i could see. we were approached a few times, but never threatened, still didnt feel comfortable on the street. this is NOT a neighborhood to go walking at night. the new target down the block closes at 9, so when we got back to the room around 930pm, we were unable to get supplies for the room, & had to stop at a gas station to get a few things. after a brief rest, we met some family and walked around alot. this resulted in spending enough money on Lyft to afford a ”swankier” place further into the city. i was unaware of how far out the place was from most of what we were there to see. we needed the rest after a grueling red-eye. desk guy was nice, and was able to speak english. We arrived around 10am and were fortunate enough to be allowed early check-in. ![]() I do believe next time I'll just take the Amtrak train for the day and save my $700! It was good for what I needed the room was large, the bed was comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. The pizzeria is probably the least expensive and most delicious of the food that we've had the entire weekend. There is a McDonald's at the corner and a mom and Shop Pizzeria next to the McDonald's. There are two food trucks right across the street from the hotel although I never saw anyone man them. Get good old-fashioned exercise and walk. It is a central location to the museums and the mall, so please once you park don't move your vehicle. At check-in, the representative at the front desk did not offer any other information than what I asked for. The sink in our bathroom was stopped up, but I did not tell the hotel staff about it so that's my fault. If you have a two-door Jeep, you'll find it just comfortable. The parking garage is super small and tight. So I suppose you have to take your dog before a walk on the street. This hotel is dog friendly although I never saw a dog relief area. Upon returning to our hotel, we came in through the main lobby and saw a quick to go market off to the side of the front desk, and it was open □ 5. Asking a local on my way to that hotel, the local directed us to a CVS about a 10-minute walk away. He directed me to another hotel that has a quick to go market in their Lobby. I asked the security guard at the hotel where a store was so that we can buy soft drinks and juice. Ask to stay away from the train tracks!! Train runs all night and blows its horn. The side of the Hotel with the single elevator, are the train tracks. Bar and Grill in restaurant average cost $15 per plate 4. ![]() Breakfast buffet in hotel$20 a person not a whole lot of choices. This hotel was okay for the price, but let me quickly highlight this hotel.
